Keep your BRITA water filter jug ready for everyday use with the BRITA MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance Water Filter Cartridge 12 Pack.

This convenient multipack contains 12 individually packed cartridges. Each cartridge filters up to 150 litres of water and should be replaced approximately every four weeks, depending on usage and local water quality. The complete pack provides up to a full year’s supply of BRITA filtered water.

Fresh-Tasting Filtered Water

BRITA MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance cartridges use MicroFlow technology and four-stage filtration to improve the taste of your tap water.

Natural microcarbon made from coconut shells reduces chlorine and other substances that can affect the taste and smell of water. Powerful ion-exchange pearls help soften water and reduce certain metals, including lead and copper, if present in your tap water. (1)

The result is fresh-tasting filtered water for drinking, cooking, tea and coffee. Reducing carbonate hardness can also help protect kettles and coffee machines from limescale build-up.

Four-Stage BRITA Filtration

The MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance cartridge filters water through four carefully designed stages:

1. A super-fine mesh captures coarse particles that may be found in older pipework.
2. Natural microcarbon reduces chlorine and other taste- and odour-affecting substances.
3. Ion-exchange pearls soften water and reduce certain metals, including lead and copper.
4. An additional high-performance mesh provides a final filtration stage.

The cartridge also filters trace impurities, including certain herbicides, pesticides and pharmaceutical (2) residues, if present in tap water. It has been independently tested to reduce certain PFAS, including PFOS and PFOA.

BRITA MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance is an all-round water filter cartridge suitable for areas with soft to hard water. It is a good choice for improving the taste of everyday drinking water and water used for cooking, tea and coffee.

How to Prepare Your MAXTRA PRO Cartridge

1. Fill your clean BRITA jug with cold tap water.
2. Immerse the new cartridge in the water and shake it gently to release any trapped air bubbles.
3. Insert the cartridge firmly into the funnel.
4. Filter and discard the first two jug fillings.

Your new cartridge is then ready to provide fresh-tasting filtered water.

Recycle Your Used BRITA Cartridges

Used BRITA water filter cartridges can be returned to Bluestone for recycling. Cartridges must be clean and completely dry before being returned.
